This funayuki is based on the style of a mioroshi deba, basically one with double bevels. It’s quite thick, making for some resistance into denser stuff, but is very fun to use for medium to fine slicing and dicing, and fish fabrication (fisherman’s knife). Definitely more of a niche piece, but is certainly an enjoyable one for the right person who likes a knife with some good weight and meat behind it.
