52100 cladded in layers of mild steel that I purposely deformed and filled with a powdered iron and silica inclusion mixture in order to replicate the grain texture of wrought iron.
The bevels were flattened on flat abrasives and stones, finished on a mikawa nagura and then lightly polished with finger stones to increase contrast.
The grind and cutting experience lean more workhorse-y but feel smooth and enjoyable.
